This past week, Addison’s been absolutely adorable while she sits in her bouncer seat during meals. For the couple weeks prior, she was the complete opposite and one of us would more often than not, end up holding her while trying to eat one handed. Now, she’s giggling and smiling with little to no interaction from us.
Another month has gone by and so much has changed. Just in the past week, Addison has started sleeping through the night - which is absolutely fantastic! The first time that happened, I found myself waking up every couple hours wondering if she was OK. She ended up sleeping 10 hours straight, and has done so every night since.
We’ve been seeing some smiles lately as well. No laughs or giggles yet, but big gummy smiles a-plenty! Overall, she just seems like a happier baby these days. We don’t have to fully entertain her every minute she’s awake. She’s content just sitting in her bouncer seat on her own, as long as we’re close by.
Last weekend, Deanna and I went shopping for a few hours and brought Addison along. We really weren’t sure how she’d do, but we were pleasantly surprised. She slept in her stroller quite a bit and never cried once. When she started fussing, I held her in my arms and we walked around the mall. She seemed content just looking at all the strange people and listening to the different sounds. Wide-eyed the entire time. It was nice being out with her in public, and having people comment on how beautiful she is. Yes, yes she is!

It’s been nearly a month since the last update - sorry about that! We’ll make a conscious effort to try and get something new online at least once a week.
It really is amazing watching a baby grow. Addison’s about 6 weeks old now, and looking back at the photos from her first couple weeks of life, she looks absolutely tiny - granted, she was. But she’s gaining all this chub as she puts on weight and grows that’s simply adorable.
